What a de-icer does
We are an Authorized Kasco Distributor. We sell Kasco de-icers. They push warmer water up to hold an opening in the ice around docks, boats, and boathouses, and to keep an open area in ponds in winter.
Each de-icer ships with two 20-foot mooring lines for suspended operation. Universal Mounts and Industrial Mounts are sold separately if you want the unit on a dock or piling. Kasco lists a 3-year warranty.

Kasco lists these 60 Hz models for docks and ponds. An “H” in the model number means the higher-voltage unit.
3400D and 3400HD
¾ HP. 3400D is 120V (6.6 amps). 3400HD is the higher-voltage 208–240V unit (3.1 amps). Both list 37 lbs of thrust and a 4-foot minimum depth.
4400D and 4400HD
1 HP. 4400D is 120V (9.1 amps). 4400HD is 208–240V (4.5 amps). Both list 42 lbs of thrust and a 4-foot minimum depth.
C-10 and C-20 control panels
Optional C-10 and C-20 control panels turn the unit on by temperature so it is not running when ice is not a risk. The C-10 turns the unit on by temperature only (0–80°F) and includes an 8-foot power cord. The C-20 turns the unit on by temperature and time (0–40°F) and includes a 3-foot power cord.
